Following the May 10, 2017, Iowa Board of Pharmacy meeting, episode #7 discusses upcoming rule changes including connecting the Iowa Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) with electronic health records (EHRs); the pharmacy technician’s role in pseudoephedrine dispensing and tracking; and changes to controlled substance regulations including partial fills of Schedule II substances with the passing of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery (CARA) Act in 2016.
