Following the August 30, 2017, Iowa Board of Pharmacy Meeting, episode #9 discusses several rules that the board has noticed for intended action that relate to prescriber-patient relationship, storage of prescriptions files, and AMDS requirements.

Following the June 28, 2017, Iowa Board of Pharmacy meeting, episode #8 discusses recently adopted rules as well as newly proposed rules. Anthony and Andrew also discuss updates to the board’s plan for future rule changes.  

Following the May 10, 2017, Iowa Board of Pharmacy meeting, episode #7 discusses upcoming rule changes including connecting the Iowa Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) with electronic health records (EHRs); the pharmacy technician’s role in pseudoephedrine dispensing and tracking; and changes to controlled substance regulations including partial fills of Schedule II substances with the passing of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery (CARA) Act in 2016.
